No commentary. Opened in 1909 the SYJL is a vital link between Doncaster and Worksop. Nearly all coal traffic to West Burton and Cottam uses it, some coming from Scotland. Motive power is a mixture of class 20, 37, 56 and 58 from the 1990s together with the scene today and class 66. Footage of the final train out of Thurcroft colliery with 20057 and 20075, not only coal trains bu gypsum and sand.

No commentary. Shots of Sheffield in 1991. Most types of bus are represented even routemasters and virtually everything featured has long since gone. Northernbus Bristols are seen out at Bradfield before the advent of the Supertram and its associated construction works between Park Square and Darnall. Initial testing is featured and then return to the centre where buses are seen battling through a blizzard.

In early 2007 a blanket of snow covered the Chesterfield area and a rich variety of trains are seen battling through the blizzard. The Sandite DRS class 20s also features and there are secenes at Hasland and Tupton before the Barrow Hill diesel event. The film closes with the pairing of D8000 and 20001.
