The Last de Glehn (20 mins) Ref: SA100D
in August 1986 the world's last operational de Glehn - Du Bousquet compound locomotive celebrated her 75th Anniversary on the Nene Valley Railway in Peterborough. Locomotive no. 3,628 respendent in the rich chocolate livery of the Northern Railway of France (NORD) hauled a special train of historic vehicles thorough the Nene Valley to mark the event.

Footage of a steam hauled excusion train run from Andover to Yeovil on the West of England main line on 23-24 July 1988. The Southern Region route filming saloon TDM 395280 was also taken to Salisbury for this weekend and used to pace the West country Pacific 34092 City of Wells on the reversible lines between Templecombe and Yeovil.

British Rail withdrew 50019 Ramillies from service in 1960 and the locomotive would almost certainly have ended up for scrap and it not been for a group of dedicated preservationists who have worked tirelessley to restore her to almost new condition - this film covers the 16 years through to her new location on the mid Norfolk Railway.
