Footage of a rail tour during April 2009. Departing from London's Victoria the first leg of the ourney being hauled by 34067 Tangmere to Bristol. On day two Tangmere was joined by 70013 Oliver Cromwell for the leg from Penzance to Bristol. Tangmere then took the train back vira the Severn Tunnel into Wales, finishing the day in Preston. The fourth day saw Shap and Beattlock as 46115 Scotts Gaurdsman took over for the Preston to Glasgow leg. On day five a pair of ex LMS Stanier class 5s, nos. 45231 and 45407 were taking the train on to Inverness. A day excursion was arranged to the Kyle of Lochalsh with the Great Marquess. The journey back was on a route via Aberdeen and Dundee to Edinburgh with the two class fives pulling the train. Finally 60009 Union of South Africa pulled the train on the East Coast main line between Edinburgh and York where the steam section finished.
