A programme of 16mm films starting in 1961-62 with scenes of the whole line. Linda is on loan and is steen on a test train. Merddyn Emrys, Earl of Merioneth and Prince are also in action. The neaxt visit is in the winter of 1963 and shows track work and the inauguration of the Snapper Bar. Centenary of Steam in 1963 follows and then in 1965 the Centenary of passenger travel beginning with scenes of the Oakley Quarry. The Alco is delivered to the line in 1967 and finally a trip fromTYB to Ddaullt to work on the deviation.

Shots of some of the last remaining narrow gauge industrial lines using steam traction in the 1960s including Dinorwic, BICC Callenders Cables and Bowaters with later diesel traction seen at a brickworks. Early preservation on the Festiniog, Talyllyn and Welshpool & Llanfair Railways are seen in the 1960s plus Llanberis Lake, Launceston Steam, Leighton Buzzard and other lines during the 1970s and 1980s. The Vale of Rheidol, Isle of Man and Snowdon Mountain Railway are also seen in the 1960s.

The trains to Ddaullt and LynYstradau and finally the galas of the late 1980s with visiting locs Russel and Chaloner.

In 1968 the Iron Horse Railway was formed which was to become the Leighton Buzzard Narrow Gague Railway Society which runs the line today.
