Two disks covering the railway which has been re-built south from Rhyd Ddu to Porthmadog and is gradually being opened in sections. Footage of the whole railway including the opening days for the sections through Beddgelert to Hafod y Llyn., special trains and events such as Halloween and Christmas. Then there is the Garratt 50 event celebrating no, 143's construction with more than fifty Garratts in attendance. The Quarry Hunslets of North Wales were all 0-4-0 saddle tanks designed for use on the 2' gauge quarry lines of the slate industry. They were built between 1880s until 1932 and this film looks at 23 of the 36 survivors across the country and traces the history them.
